General Summary
Responsible for ensuring the stable operation of Rayburn Country Electric Cooperative, Inc.’s (Rayburn) in-house systems including planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and monitoring all software and hardware. Analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities / Knowledge
- Manages multiple priorities and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
- Troubleshoots hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
- Provides documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of Windows servers, ability to install and configure Windows systems and servers, configure user access and maintain system reliability and data security through deployment and migration.
- Maintains patch management of servers, workstations, laptops, wireless APs, and iDevices.
- Assists in development and management of Rayburn’s Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Standards and other cyber security needs.
- Maintains proper inventory of Rayburn’s in-house systems and hardware.
- Administers and maintains end user accounts, permissions, access rights.
- Supports desktop and helpdesk support efforts to ensure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
- Assists Rayburn personnel and Board Members with various device/software issues as needed.
- Maintains broad working knowledge of Microsoft Systems, VMWare, and Adobe applications, including certifications.
- Use tools to monitor Windows systems and servers, perform system backups according to company standards.
- Subject to on call after normal business hours as business needs dictate.
Key Accountabilities
- Complies with all policies, procedures and confidentiality requirements or obligations, including those inherent in this position, effective as a result of employment with Rayburn.
- Timely shares complete information with others including Rayburn management and staff, contractors, and other third parties, as required.
- Timely provides Rayburn management with complete reports on work and tasks performed as such reports are requested or required.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor or executive management.
Job Specifications / Skills Required
Education: | Bachelors or higher in computer related degree is preferred |
Experience: | 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Server maintenance and troubleshooting |

Certifications: | A+, MCSA Server 2012 or 2016, MCSA Office 365 is preferred |
